I can't buy a $100+ license every single time I reformat/have a catastrophic failure/uninstall. I asked what would happen if I had a catastrophic computer failure, and I needed to reinstall the application, or if I uninstalled the application, and they said that there's no way to reset the activation I'd have to buy a new one. I contacted Texas Instruments again to ask about license backups, and they, again, told me I can't do that, and I'd have to buy a new license should I ever want to re-activate it.
