![]() Is this bike worth anything as an all-original barn find? Is it worth the effort to completely clean it up and replace all of the wearables (tires, tubes, brake pads, etc.)? Any idea what the bike is worth either way? I only found one listing for an "immaculate" bike like this one, but it didn't indicate if the bike sold for the $240 asking price. Absolutely everything on the bike is original to the day it was purchased, down to the inner tubes. I am told that the bike has only been ridden a few times. Almost immediately after purchase, the mother ran into health problems, and the bike has been stored in garages ever since. The story goes like this: it belonged to the mother of my Dad's friend (don't all of these stories start this way?) It was originally purchased in approximately 1980 (give or take a few years). Trying to get more information on this AMF Roadmaster Caravan bike. The company initiated bicycle production in 1935, offering the bicycles as their 1936 line.
